Crosswind components
Wind decomposed against the runway using the same geometry core as the crosswind sim: type the painted runway number (1–36) and the METAR wind.
Reading the screen: cyan is a value you entered, green is a computed result, amber means a field still needs input or the entry needs a CHECK. SOLVED lights when every result is computed; STO keeps a value to reuse in another function; the line-select keys beside the screen pick the field the keypad edits.
Wind decomposed against the runway using the same geometry core as the crosswind sim: type the painted runway number (1–36) and the METAR wind. Runway 27 with wind 300 at 20 is a 17 kt headwind and a 10 kt crosswind from the right. Computed geometry, not a regulatory claim — compare the crosswind number to YOUR demonstrated-crosswind figure and personal minimums.
