How much weight to move between stations to relocate the CG: weight = gross × CG change ÷ move distance (FAA-H-8083-1B ch 5). The handbook's worked case is the default — on a 7,800 lb airplane, moving the CG 1.0 in with a 120 in station change takes 65 lb.
