Labeled assumption Uses the FAA handbook's working figures — avgas 6.0 lb/gal (FAA-H-8083-1B p. 7-7) and Jet A 6.8 lb/gal (nominal at +15 °C, p. 9-14) — not measured density. The same handbook's standard-weights table (Figure 3-4) lists 6.01 and 6.68 at 59 °F. Real fuel density varies with temperature; use metered figures when weight is critical.
