How this is computed

Labeled assumption Recommended entry per AIM 5-3-8 (Chg 3, eff. 2026-07-09) — recommended procedures, not mandatory. The pattern design allows a 5° tolerance (AIM 5-3-8); near a sector line either adjoining entry works.

Entry sector per AIM 5-3-8 FIG 5-3-8 (Chg 3, effective 2026-07-09): note the inbound course is the course flown TO the fix — holding on the 270 radial means an 090 inbound course. The ASA CX-3 manual's example is the default: heading 155 to that hold, right turns, is a direct entry with a 090 inbound heading. Left-turn patterns mirror the sectors per the AIM's nonstandard-pattern note.
