Required TAS
The TAS (and heading) needed to make good a course at a target groundspeed in a known wind: air vector = ground vector − wind vector.
Reading the screen: cyan is a value you entered, green is a computed result, amber means a field still needs input or the entry needs a CHECK. SOLVED lights when every result is computed; STO keeps a value to reuse in another function; the line-select keys beside the screen pick the field the keypad edits.
The TAS (and heading) needed to make good a course at a target groundspeed in a known wind: air vector = ground vector − wind vector. Into a direct 20 kt headwind, holding 100 kt over the ground takes 120 kt true. Pinned in scripts/test-tools-solvers.ts; the CHECK line flags mathematically-valid but unflyable answers where the wind overwhelms the requested groundspeed.
