How this is computed
The vertical speed that makes a crossing restriction: altitude to lose ÷ minutes to the fix. Sign follows the Sporty's E6B manual convention — positive means descend, negative means you are BELOW the restriction and would need to climb. Crossing 2,000 ft lower 10 nm ahead at 120 kt over the ground takes 400 fpm down.
