ASSUMES K=1.0
How this is computed
Labeled assumption — Assumes full temperature-probe recovery (K = 1.0), matching the CX-3's Actual modes. Real probes recover less than 100% of ram rise, so derived OAT and TAS shift slightly with the installation.
In-flight TAS from CAS, pressure altitude, and the temperature probe's TOTAL air temperature; static OAT is backed out of the ram rise. Matches the ASA CX-3 manual's Actual TAS worked example (150 mph CAS, 6,500 ft, +10 °C TAT → 166.64 mph, 7 °C OAT) with the K = 1.0 recovery the CX-3 implies.
